PCOS & Endometrial Hyperplasia Treatment Options - A Comprehensive Overview

Question
I am 30 years and have no children.  My last menstrual bleeding occured from July 26-Sept. 18.  I have been diagnosed with PCOS and endometrial hyperplasia.  What type of treatment is available?  I have been fighting female problems for 10 years.  I get sick everytime I start bleeding, have severe abnormal craps, burning during urination, painful bowel movements, migraines, back problems.  If the bleeding continues for a long period time I get really severe problems to where I can't walk. I stay in constant pain.  I had a laproscopy, hysterocopy, and d&c performed recently, but not success in dealing with the problem.  Should I talk to someone about a hysterecomy?

Answer
If you have been bleeding since July 26, your doctor should be notified. If a D&C has not helped control your bleeding, there are several options before you have a hysterectomy. You can try endometrial ablation if you have hyperplasia. This will cause scarring on your endometrium and you will stop having your period completely.  You did not mention whether your PCOS is being treated with metformin . Certainly, if you continue to have heavy vaginal bleeding that cannot be controlled, then the only other option is to remove the uterus (after all other options are exhausted).
