I am concerned because this month it occured for about five days of and on starting at about day 14 of my cycle. Usually my cycles are regular and so is the bleeding. Should I be concerned. No pain is associated with it and There really is no discomfort except the annoying blood on my underware. thankyou please respond
AnswerHi Kathy,
What you are experiencing some times happens, and for various reasons with women.
Sometimes, women can be pregnant, and experience implantation bleeding. You say this has been recent ..So if you have been sexually active, then you should take a test just to rule it out.
Stress, will also cause spotting as well. Illness, minor, to major will cause this as well.
STD's can cause spotting ..
But the most commone reason for spotting, aside from pregnancy, is due to hormonal imbalance.
This could just be one of those flukes of mother nature, and your cycle might very well get on track, and correct itself on its own.
If you feel concern, or are worried, call your doctor, have it investigated. If you are not pregnant, a simple birthcontol pill can be prescribed, to get you back on track, however ..its usually only prescribed to women whom miss their periods all together.
I dont think you have much to worry about at this point. However, if this continues on , then I certainly think you need to bring it to your doctors attention.
Hope this was of some help.
