Heavy Bleeding After Medical Abortion: What to Do?

I had a medical abortion on Dec 30th, 2010. I bled for about 2 weeks. With no time lapse between, I started my period. It has been about 2 weeks since then. I am STILL bleeding heavily. Last night, I soaked 2 night heavy flow pads while sleeping. I finally had to use a pad AND a towel underneath. The cramps finally stopped a few days ago, but the blood seems to have gotten heavier. Help! P.S. I went to my check up, and the doc said everything was fine. That was 2 weeks ago.

You are experiencing a heavier flow that can happen.  You should call the doctor.  Try Ibuprofen 800 mg every 6 hours until you can get in touch with them.  This type of bleeding can happen after an abortion.  Sometimes there may be a clot that is stuck and when it passes, you can have more bleeding.
