Pregnancy Risk During Period: What You Need to Know

I had unprotected sex on the second day of my period, the bleeding occured as normal the next day, but since the bleeding has stopped, I am still getting partial spotting but I usually have a very heavy flow for at least 4-5 days! can you tell me whether or not I can get pregnant from what I have done?

You cannot become pregnant if you have sex on the second day of your period. If you have a 28 day cycle, you ovulate on cycle #14 and can only become pregnant if you have sex on cycle day #13,14,15, or 16. However, if you have had an abnormal period, or you have symptoms of pregnancy (breast tenderness, fatigue, nausea) take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure.
