Faint Positive Pregnancy Test & Abdominal Pain: What Could It Be?

Question
My last period started Sept 18th.On oct 9th I took a HPT and it was faint pos.Between Oct 9th-14th I took 5 more-all faint positives.On Oct 15th and 16th I took 2 more and they were neg.I
was suppose to start my period Oct 17th and I have had no bleeding/spotting nothing. Since the 15th I have a lot of stretching/pulling pains in my abdomin and cramping that radiates from one ovary to the other.Yesterday I was having a sharp pain in my right side from about my hip bone down into my vagina. But today it was gone just a little cramping feeling. My question to you is does it sounds like I am having a chemical pregnancy or is it true that when I got the 2 negs my urine might have been more diluted or that hcg levels fluctuate in early pregnancy.I am so confused because to me it just seems that if I did lose the baby on the 15th my symptoms would be lessing or gone but they are getting worse instead. Please help!

Answer
If your last period started on September 18, you probably ovulated on October 1. Therefore, you could have conceived if you had sex on September 30, October 1,2, or 3. If you did become pregnant at that time, the earliest that a pregnancy test would be accurate would be 14-21 days later (between October 15-22).  Any faint lines must be considered to be a negative test. If, after October 15, the tests were negative, you are probably not pregnant. I would advise that you take two blood tests for pregnancy (Beta HCG) 48 hours apart. If there is a doubling of the results in 48 hours, it indicates a viable pregnancy. If there is a halving of the results ini 48 hours, it indicates a miscarriage. If both results are less than 5, it means that you were never pregnant.
