Understanding Your Cycle After a Miscarriage: A Guide

Question
I am 27 with 2 children.I found out I miscarried on Nov 21st.I bled from the 21st-28th. Do I count the bleeding as a period? When I miscarried before, my doctor told me to count the bleeding as my period. Is that true?I had another period Dec 17th.So have I had 1 or 2 cycles since my miscarriage?I was told to wait atleast to cycle before ttcing again so I am trying to figure out how many I have had.Thank you.

Answer
After a miscarriage, you can safely start trying to conceive agina after getting one period. Do not count the bleeding from the miscarriage as a period. If you had a period on December 17, that is your first period after the miscarriage. YOu probably will ovulate around December 30 and probably can conceive if you have sex on December 29,30,31, or January 1. Good Luck.
