QuestionHi I am 25. My last period I had was on or around Fathers Day of this year, June 19. A couple of weeks ago I had some brown discharge an then only 1 spot of blood during the 4 days of this discharge. Yesterday I actually had started my period but its not as heavy as it has been in the past. I didnt know if you could answer the reason of why I had some discharge about a week and a half before my actual period.
About 90% of the time since I was 12, I have had irregular periods whether I skip a month, a week, or on 2 occasions when I was in my teens, that I had bled for over 10 days. I have also had 3 miscarriages if that might help answer some questions also. I had 1 doctor tell me I had 2 uteruses and then another 2 just say that something is bigger than the other side. What that something is, I do not remember, but I want to say my ovaries.
Well Thanks For Your Time And Opinions!

AnswerThe problems you had when you were a teenager were probably due to anovulatory cycles, which would cause irregular periods that could skip a month from time to time. It is easy to tell if you have a double uterus or not by merely taking a sonogram or a hysterosalpingogram. A period is considered normal if it is less than 14 days of bleeding. It can fluctuate from one to 10 days and still be normal. The one spot of blood that you had a few weeks ago may, indeed, have been your period for July. Yesterday, you started your period for August. I think you may benefit from going on birth control pills for awhile. Your period would regulate to 28 day cycles.
