Slowly Rising hCG & Low Progesterone: Understanding the Risks & Potential Outcomes

Question
I am 25 and have 1 child.  My last peroid was on Feb 5.  I have been having my HCG levels done every other day and they are going up but slowly.  The last 2 that I had done were 409 and 526.  We also checked my progestrone levels and that was a 6.  I started taking supplements for that.  My ? is have you ever seen this before and have the babies survived?

Answer
Yes, I have seen this scenario before, There is a risk of miscarriage when your progesterone value is less than 10, so progesterone supplementation is a good idea. If your last period started on February 5, then you probably ovulated on February 18 anc could have become pregnant if youy had sexon February '17,18,19, or 20.A pregnancy test would not show a positive result unil 14-21 days after conception (Between March 3-10. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your period. Since you were due for yur period on March 4, a pregnancy test should have been done after March 11.We like the HCG value to double every 48 hours. However, as long as there was a rise in the value, do not give up hope.
