Possible Pregnancy After Menopause? What to Do
QuestionI am 48 years old and I have 2 children, 1 is 15 years old and my other one is 25 years old. The date of the first day of my last period was 1/29/06. I just wanted to know if I could maybe be pregnant because that is the last time I had my period on 1/29/06. I have had no spotting at all just some cramping. Should I do a home kit pregnancy test?
AnswerIf the first day of your last period was January 29, you should now be 9 weeks pregnant. Take a pregnancy test and you will know if you are pregnant, or if you are merely approaching menopausal. If the pregnancy test is negative, keep a record of your periods. If you do not get a period for 12 months in a rowk that indicates that you reached menopause.
