QuestionHi i wanted to know how long will it take to concive a baby after being on the depo shot for 4 years i just got off of it my last shot was due august 17 and i didnt get it but i also get my period september 7th.ive also been having sex with no protection so what are my chances i really what to have a baby thanks.

With Depo, when you miss the shot, you are immediately at risk to become pregnant. If you got your period, well then you certainly will ovulate roughly 14 days later, if your system is a normal 28 day cycle.
I have heard different stories with Depo Provera. Some women have come off of it, and havent seen a period, or havent become pregnant after a year, sometimes two years. Leading some to beleive that the shot has some kind of effect, or stays in the system somewhat, preventing women from getting preganant, and having periods.
But the general rule, is that when you come off of it, you are susposed to wait 2 cycles then try and get pregnant.
Well, you are at a good start. You got your period, which means you will most likely ovulate 14 days later.
