Answer
We do not start vaginal exams or PAP tests until 21 years of age, unless there is a problem. She should not start birth control pills until she is sexually active. If you have a good relationship with your daughter, sit down and ask directly if she is having sexual relations with any of her friends. If so, she should start birth conrol pills. This is a good time to also recommend that, if she does start having sexual intercourse, she should also AlWAYS use a condom to prevent sexually transmitted diseases. Also mention that the "withdrawal method", where the guy pull out of the vagina before ejaculation, does not work because there are around 300,000 sperm at the tip of the penis and when he pull out, these sperm can be milked into the vagina as he withdraws. If she has any questions, refer her to me.  However, if she is not sexually active and if her period is regular, she does not have to start the pills yet.
