QuestionHello. Im 29 yrs old, married, no children although I am trying to conceive. Ive been a bit of a mess this week and need some advise please. Ive had a few things going on this week, probably all random but Ill mention it all in case its relevant.
7 days ago today on Sun I got my period which lasted till Tues, abnormally short for me. The following Mon I hurt my back and was getting severe sciatic pain, lower back pain and weakness. Went to the doc, he diagnosed re-aggrivated injury, gave anti-inflamme and painkiller meds. Went to Chiro who really helped. The back pain settled well with drugs within 2 days althoght still stiff.
On Tues, I started getting what I thought was an eye infe ction which got worse. By Wed was getting intermittent throbing on one side in lower back region (pain which didnt feel like actual back pain or injury. Also felt terribly tired and light headed and had very tender stomach.
Wed night started getting tingling sensation down below and thrush like symptoms. Used thrush cream without insertor on Thurs night and Fri.
Fri went to doctors who diagnosed cellulitis re my eye and face, gave me antibiotics. Told him Id also been feeling unwell which was just dismissed, didnt explain symptoms to him. The eye has settled really well, used eye cream since Tues too.
Yesterday was Sat and I was getting a bloody discharge in underwear and on toilet paper. The texture was thin and translucent like, brown in colour. Was itchy that morning and had used cream which settled it. I have history of thrush, usually treated with over counter products. Antibiotics flare it up, although symptoms began well before taking pills. Ive twice diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. I have severe allergies, eczema and asthma. Environmental and food allergies and history of irritable bowel.
This bleeding is all that concerns me, just want to be sure that nothing else is going on. Can you advise me please? Im hesitant to go back to the doc for the 3rd time in 1 week and he seems too rushed for me to tell him all this.
AnswerWhat was the date of the first day of your last period. I assume it started on May 14. Everything you mentioned sounds within normal limits. You may have developed an inflammation of your eye which certainly warranted antibiotics. I would recommend that you keep a careful record of every time you notice blood (staining, spotting, heavy bleeding) and then bring it to your doctor for evaluation.
