How Long Does Lovenox (Enoxaparin) Stay in Your System?

i was wanting to know i got a shot friday morning it was the blood thinner one. how long does that stay in my body?? i went in for chest pain and was put on bed rest.

I will assume that by the "blood thinner shot" you mean Lovenox.  This is a fractionated heparin injection usually given SQ (subcutaneously) and has an effective life of about a day.  It is used for the prevention of DVT (clots in the legs) in sedentary patients at a dose of 1mg/kg
SQ once a day and for more aggressive blood thinning as one would want for AMI (heart attach) in a twice a day dosing.  It is easy to administer and some have gone home on this medicine.  Its effects are pretty much gone in a couple of days.
