Understanding Hemoglobin in Urine Test Results: What Does a Result of 150 Mean?

I had lab work done and below was the result of the Hemoglobin/blood ur  

VALUE    FLAG    LOW   HIGH   UNITS
 150      A      NEG             

Can you tell me what this means.  I cannot find information anywhere about the value of 150.  It was the beginning of my menstrual cycle, could that cause this. Also my blood hemoglobin was within range of 12.WBC HIGH 11.90 RBC LOW 4.19 PLATELET 405 NEUT% HIGH 72.1 ABS NEUT HIGH 8.6.  I won't see the doctor for another week but they won't tell me anything over the phone so in the mean time I am going crazy.  thank you

Hi Nancy.  I'm not sure about the number 150 either.  When we do a urinalysis for blood, we either say negative, or we give it a quantity such as 1+, 2+, or 3+.  Either way, you have blood in your urine.  And it's most likely because of your menstrual cycle.  If you're still concerned, you could ask your doctor to recheck your urine after your menstrual cycle has ended.
