Kidney & Blood Infection: Post-Treatment Care & Pain Relief

I was diagnosed with a kidney and blood infection (my blood culture came back yesterday).  I have had two rounds of antibiotics through iv and have started the pill form today.  I have just a few home care questions that I didn't ask at the emergency because I was pretty sick.  My left side (kidney) hurts a lot, is there anything I can do, like heat, to make it feel better?  I had temperatures close to 105, and now suffer from an extreme headache, the Tylenol I take doesn't touch it.  Is there anything I can do for it, and should I be worried or will this just disappear when the antibiotics start working?  And my last question, is there any long term lasting impacts I should be worried about?  My temp was so high that I now have earaches etc... And it just concerns me that there may be damaging impacts to my kidneys or other areas.

Fever- tylenol 1000 mg up to every 6 hours and Motrin 800 mg up to every 6 hours (you can stagger these)

It should get better pretty quickly after the antibiotics..... but if you run fever 24 hours after the IV was done and you are taking the orals.... then you should probably be rechecked.... but our antibiotics are better and better so it should work......
