QuestionHi,
1)My last period was on the 14 or 15th April (sorry can't remember) and my cycle is usually 30++ days (sorry again I don't usually keep track, though I know I probably need to start now!) so I would say I am at least 1 week late..possibly 2weeks
2)I had been having some nausea (which I am wondering could it be some psychological effect thingy), whitish discharge (which I do get usually just before my period), cramping, NO sore breasts, NO frequent urination, and some days I get really really hungry
3) I took a home pregnancy test 2 days ago (5th May)and it was negative!
4) Should I try another test to confirm? Or just go straight to the doctors? What is the likelyhood I am or am not pregnant?
5) I have read on the net forums that some women get negative results even after like 2-3weeks (even blood tests negative), only to get positive like 1.5months later. I am worried this might be the case for me?
Thanks in advance! I hope it was not too lengthy
AnswerI am not sure of the first day of your last period. If you started your period on April 15, and you normally have a 30+ day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurred on April 30 (14 days before the expected start of your period). The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period. You should have started your period on May 14. A pregnancy test would be accurate anytime after May 21. If you still have not had your period, you are 3 weeks late. If the pregnancy test on May 5 was negagative, repeat it in two weeks. If it is still negative, take a blood test for pregnancy. If the results are less than 5, you are not pregnant. Please keep a record of the first day of each period.
