QuestionMy husband and I have been trying for a baby, and my period is two days late (I'm usually extremely regular). The other only clear pregnancy symptom that I have is that my breasts are much bigger than usual.
I was convinced that I was pregnant but I took a pregnancy test last night and it was negative. It was one of those that claims to be 99.9% accurate on the first day your period is late.
We used an ovulation predictor and it was positive on the 27th of April. I have heard that once you've ovulated, it is fourteen days exactly until your next period, and unlike the first half of the cycle, this length is not affected by stress or anything else, so my question is: Could I have detected the LH surge and not ovulated or ovulated much later? Could I still be pregnant?
Answer Hello. The fourteen days after ovulation that you start your period would only be true if you have a 28 day cycle. Not all women have a 28 day cycle.
Pregnacy test are very accurate but as you say not 100%. I would suggest waiting one week. If you have not started test again.
Good luck to you.
