Hi I was wondering what a week early splotchy peroid could mean?

Well there are 2 reasons for spotting.

First one would be a hormonal imbalance. Not uncommon,and it happens to most ladies at one time or another. Hormonal imbalances can be brought on by stress, physical illness, or for unknown reasons.

Second reason for spotting, would be implantation bleeding. Happens about a week after conception, is usually dark in colour, and is associated with a period like cramp. Infact, many ladies mistake this as a period, because it really does feel like one.
