Understanding Post-Provera Discharge: Is It Your Period?
QuestionHey, I have a question. I took Provera last month to bring on a period (after not having one for 4 months after coming off birth control) which it did. It's now 28 days later and I have been having a dark brown discharge for 2 days now. My doc said any kind of flow is considered a period. Is this true? Can I count this as a period? What could be causing this? Something is obviously working now (opposed to the 4 months before when I had NO discharge/period) so hopefully my body is just trying to balance hormones?? Thanks
AnswerHi Cat,
I'm not a doctor so I can't really say what this might be. Did you have any other kind of period since you asked this question? Just wondering. Yes, your body has to adjust to not having all those hormones in your body. Why did you go off birth control? Are you going to stay off birth control? Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and let me know the answers to these questions and how I can help you further.
Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
