Pregnancy Timeline & Dating: Understanding Delayed Periods & Positive Test

My question to you is, my last period was January 24 2004.  I did not have a period in February so when I was a week late I took a pregnancy test; negative.  A week later I took another; negative.  So I decided to wait till it was time for my period in March.  No period.  So I take another test and this one is positve.  So my big frustration is how far along am I or when did I get pregnant.  I am on vacation and unable to go to a doc till I get home but this is really bugging me.  Can you help please?

Hello Amber. Well, this is one case where an ultrasound may be needed to determine whether you are four or eight weeks along.I really don't like to use u/s, but I think you will need to. You could have simply missed ovulation all together in Feb.- it does happen, ovulated in mid March and conceived. Sorry I could't help more- Cheri.
