Early Period & Spotting with Paraguard IUD: Causes & What to Expect

My last period was 5 days early (started on May 27).  Going off this date, my next period would be due in one week. Yesterday, I started spotting, and it's brown and watery.

I have a paraguard IUD.  I am a mother of two children, and am 27 years old.

Why would my period be 5 days early, and what could cause me to be spotting now?

If your last period started on May 27, you are due for your next period on June 23.  If you do not get your period by June 23, wait until  June 30 and take a pregnancy. If  you  are not  pregnant,, the  spotting is probably due to  the IUD. A cycle is considered normal if it is 21-35 days in length. The most accurate pregnancy test is 7 days after missing your peeriod.
