Pregnancy After Multiple Miscarriages: Early Symptoms & Concerns

Question
I had four miscarriages after all testing possible for something that could cause these back to back miscarriages everything came back normal. I found out today that I am four weeks along. I can't get excited about this yet bc I'm scared of it repeating again. I have had three normal live births from another relationship, but these miscarriages occur with my new husband. My question is in early pregnancy is it normal to have some pelvic pressure and light cramping and tinge of pain in my left side. I've had no bleeding or spotting, but after going through so many miscarriages I'm now nerves that this could be the start of another one.

Answer
Dear Lace,

Slight cramping or a feeling of "pressure" would not necessarily be abnormal. Severe cramping (such as with heavy periods) accompanied by bleeding would be more of a concern and/or a sign of a miscarriage. I know it's difficult, but try to relax. There is nothing you can do to alter the outcome if there is something genetic that causes a miscarriage. Stressing over it is not good for the pregnancy either, so all you can do is give it the womb to grow in.

I hope this has helped you and answered your question. I will have a good thought for you with this pregnancy.
