Pupil Size Difference & Hand Spasms: Potential Causes & What to Do

Question
First of all, thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

I am having a couple of strange symptoms this week and I wanted to see if anything "jumps out at you" after I describe them. My right pupil is bigger then my left pupil but they both react and get smaller when I shine a light in them. It's more noticeable in a darker room. Also, the last couple of nights, I have been woken up by a hand spasm. My hand is kind of jerking around and it feels like it is being shocked by electricity. It lasts for just a few seconds, but it gets my attention. Now, I have had stomach flu this week (nausea and throwing up) but I am feeling better now but I am pretty dehydrated and I haven't been able to eat much this week so I'm wondering if all of this could be related to the dehydration and lack food for the last 2 or 3 days? I feel much better today and I was able to eat and drink normally. Besides all of this, I feel fine. I'm a 38 year old male in usually perfect health.

Does this sound like anything you've ever heard of before?

Again, thanks for taking the time to answer me.

Take care,

Ray

Answer
I don't think I can relate the two.... usually when the nerve that works the eye pupil doesn't work, it will simply stop working, meaning the pupil in question, say the L won't react if light is shown into either eye separately... you might try that, but with both those symptoms, it is worth a trip to the doctor and he/she might wind up doing a head scan....
