Lower Back, Tailbone & Genital Tingling: Potential Causes & Relief

Years ago I fell on my bavkbone and had terrible pain for about a month then it went away. I never had this checked and over the years I found I could not sit on hard surfaces as it bothered my tailbone,other than that I have never really had any problems. Last year I started experiencing a tingling in my lower back or tailbone that did not hurt but is very annoying. Over the past year it seems the tingling has gone into my penis and testicles and rectum.When this happens I get a little numbness in my left butt cheek.As I said I really have not experienced if ny pain,its just really annoying. The other night it started and expended down my legs into the bottoms of my feet but most times it stays around the lower back and penis. Im worried about this but really dont want to go to the Dr with it. My question is,does it sound like something serious or just a pinched nerve or something out of place? Anything you can tell me would be a help. Im 56 years old 5'11" tall and weigh 180. Overall im in good health.This is the only thing bothering me.Thanks in advance. Michael

When you say "is this serious" I am not sure what you mean....  it sounds like you damaged that area and are now getting some nerve irritation symptoms....   Since the injury is so old and still causing symptoms, it is probably going to continue to irritate you.  I would have a full evaluation to see if there is any type of structural injury or if there are any interventions that will improve your symptoms.... I assume you have done a good exercise program to increase flexibility and to strengthen your core..... I would start there if you haven't and then get it evaluated if the symptoms continue.
