Epinephrine and Digestive System: Exploring Potential Applications

Ok, so, this is going to be really random and I'm sure this situation would never happen if it would work but I just learned about this hormone today and one of it's side effects is that you stop digesting, at least that's what I'm told. So my question is if you could inject someone with this to stop them from digesting something harmful. I know it probably isn't even considered by doctors but I am just curious if it COULD be used for that.
I do hope I asked the right person on this one. :)

I did quite a bit of research, and couldn't find ANYTHING that would say yea or nay on this subject.  But it sure is an interesting concept.

I would think that the blood supply would carry a toxic substance through the body, despite the digestive process.

Hmmmmm.....
