Hand Numbness: Causes, Symptoms & When to See a Doctor

For the past week I have experienced continual numbness in my left hand. I cannot straighten my ring finger and have little strength in my hand as a whole. I am not aware of any injury that I have sustained during the time prior to the current feelings of numbness and 'pins and needles'

you didn't state your age... if older, i would worry about a stroke, if younger, I would worry about a pinched nerve at the neck or shoulder.... either way, you need to see a doctor to get it evaluated.... hope this helps...  the pins and needles, sounds more like a pinched nerve... nerve studies will pin down where it is being pinched....
