QuestionHi, I am 30 year old white male; I eat fairly healthy, not bad but not greatest; I'm not overweight, but am in terrible shape in that I don't really get any exercise to speak of.
Here's my issue: Beginning yesterday I began experiencing some numbness and mainly a tingling feeling in my left arm, from armpit to fingertips. It happened a couple of times, several hours apart, lasting for only maybe 20 minutes each time. Then it happened a third time last night, with the arm eventually returning to normal, but the fingers (mainly my index finger) remaining tingly (pins and needles) and a little bit of pain in my armpit area remaining as well (almost a sort of tightness feeling there). The tingling is still there today in my index finger and maybe a little bit on and off in other fingers. My armpit still hurts a bit as well.
What could be the problem? Should I wait it out (I have to at least wait til tomorrow - Monday - of course), or what?
Thanks.
Ben
Answersounds like a nerve is being pinched/irritated either at the neck level or the shoulder level. If it changes with the arm position, it is prob at the shoulder, if neck, etc. I would take some alleve for a week, check for lumps in the armpit and then get it checked if it doesn't resolve
