Elbow Pain: Causes, Symptoms & What to Do

Question
I was experiencing numbness in my left elbow for a little over a week. It wasn't a tingly feeling but I just lost feeling in it. There was no injury or event that occurred prior to this happening. The numbness has now gone away but I feel a nearly constant stabbing pain in my elbow now. It is also very sensitive to the touch. I have psoriasis and take Enbrel injections for it. I'm uncertain if the two could be related. I've never had anything like this before and it is only in my left elbow.

Answer
It sounds like a nerve is being pinched/pressed on in that area.  A doctor can often pinpoint where it is occurring based on your exact locations of pain or numbness but it is typically at the elbow or shoulder level.

I would try taking an antinflammatory such as alleve, 2 twice a day for a week to help with any swelling around the nerve and hopefully it will fade away.....
