Numbness and Weakness in Left Hand: Causes, Relief & When to See a Doctor

Question
------My fingers are actually numb.  I can pinch my pinkie & my ring finger real hard and just barely feel it.  Starts at the middle finger and gets worse toward the pinkie.  It feels real thick.  It feels like it is drawing up towards the palm & I have no control.  If it is just a pinched nerve, how long would it stay pinched?    Carpel tunnel or stroke?---------- Seriously?

Question -
Last week my left hand (last 3 fingers) went numb.
It has now been 8 days and I am curious as to what it could be. It is worse in the morning. I can't hold a comb, button my pants,do anything with it.  Will the feeling and strength come back?
It started when I leaned on my elbow for a couple hours.  Shouldn't it be gone by now?  I have no insurance.          Thank you
Answer -
The cause could be many things, and I could not tell you for sure, you probably need to be seen.
Is it actually numb or is it tingly?  It could be as simple as a pinch nerve or carpal tunnel or as serious as a stroke.
You should have this looked out Ins. or not if it continues.  Good luck.

Answer
Hello, actually being numb is not good, sometimes people say numb when there is actually tingling, that is why I asked.
You should see a Dr.  You don't mention your gender or age, but a stroke could cause these symptoms, carpal tunnel also, seriously!
Good luck.
