QuestionQUESTION: I've been experiencing severe, sickening pain in my upper abdominal, lower chest area. It mostly happens late night,(mid-night-4:00 a.m.) I have been nauseated, but actually threw-up last night. I have previously had ultra-sound of GallBladder and HIDA scan.....both normal. Tried taking ACIPHEX,but it doesn't help with symptoms.
Could this be Heartburn, and does it cause nausea and vomiting?
What about Hiatal Hernia?
Care to offer any other possible differential diagnosis?
ANSWER: It sounds like Helicobacter pylorii infection so ask for the Py-test and get this treated. The other things will show on the tests you have had.
You need to see a GI doctor and get scoped. Then change your diet to gluten free to prevent recurrences and get your magnesium oxide and omega-3:6 ratio fixed.

AnswerYou need to cut out all sodas, eat meat cheese or fish only once daily to cut out your body acid. Go on a low acid diet and ask you doctor if you can take magnesium oxide 250mg four times a day, PLUS drink 3 ounces of half and half 30 minutes after you finish your meals. Then get an EGD scope exam
Ask to see your CBC, diff test,. amylase and lipase and
h pylorii test results
