QuestionHi
I hope I'm finding you in the best of health.
I'm a 17 years old male.
After I brushed my teeth today(6:00 saturday morning), I decided to go back to bed for 2 hours. I went back to bed(position important in my question) on my left side with my left hand under pillow and right hand bicep over ear and right hand elbow 90 degrees over head.
when I was ready to get up 2 hours later, I moved my right shoulder to lay back up on bed and I realized that my right hand and forearm were COMPLETELY numb and when I moved my shoulder(which ultimately moves the forearm) I saw my forearm just fall down without me feeling anything. 5 seconds later the feeling came back in the hand.
Did I cut off circulation?
Did I prevent my muscles from working somehow?
Did I stop a nerve?
Answerthat is called impingement syndrome..... by keeping your arm at that angle... it kinked the main nerves to your arm/hand.... then it gets better... the sensation will make you move your arm even in sleep. Not harmful, mostly annoying unless it doesn't go away....
