Lower Right Abdominal Pain: Causes, Concerns & When to See a Doctor

Question
I started my menstrual cycle on the 4 days ago, and usually end on the 5th day.  Today, I woke up with pain in my lower right side, and it doesn't feel like cramps.  Its more of a sharper pain that eases a little depending on how I am sitting.  I also have some pain in my lower back, but not sure if its related to my abdomen pain.  I do not feel nauseated and don't have loose stools.  Should I be concerned, or get this checked out now?

Answer
I would get it checked, and think about a urinary tract infection or a kidney stone or an ovarian cyst, or appendicitis... also a uterine infection, which typically starts days after a menstrual period is a consideration... but, time to get it checked.
