Answer
Samreen,

Your mother is on multiple meds [(seco 500 mg(mecobalamin), voltral 50 (diclofenac sodium), tansin 50 mg (losartan potassium),gevelox plus(glucosamine sulphate USP 500mg, chondrotin sulphate USP 400mg),nuberol forte, lipiget, ruling 20 (omeprazole)] that can have drug-drug interactions.  There may even be some drug-supplement interactions.  With T2DM, HTN and her other issues there should be a focused attempt by her doctors to limit unnecessary medications, insure there are no drug interactions contributing to her symptoms, assess her mental health (rule out depression) and also diabetic neuropathy.  Pharmogenomics (PGx) is a way to determine how she (genetically) metabolizes her meds, so they can be adjusted.  Ask for this test from her doctors.  The limb pain may be due to her DDD (degenerative disc dz) in her neck, may require an MRI for further evaluation or this may be due to diabetic induced neuropathy.  Swelling of the face may be a reaction to the ARB (losartan)so be careful with this one.  This forum does not allow for the diagnosis or treatment recommendations, so it is imperative that all her doctors work together to determine root cause of her symptoms.
