Questioni heard that it does not matter how many aspirin you take because if you take more than 2 it does not increase in strenght to conquer pain. But with other pain meds i have heard of the doctor 'upping' the dosage.
is it true about aspirin? that the effect of 2 is say, the same as if you took 4?
I find that confusing when with other pain meds, they can "up the dose".

Answeraspirin only lasts a few hours... there is a dose response curve... more helps, but only up to a point... and side effects increase.... yes, 4 probably does more than 2 but 8 prob won't do better than 4. now with narcotic pain meds, the dose response curve doesn't flatten out as much as aspirin and other non steroidal anti inflam drugs...
