Zetia Metabolism & Muscle Pain: How Long Does It Stay in Your System?

After taking statins for almost 15 years, I switched to Zetia 4 years ago because of muscle pain. 3 weeks ago, my doctor stopped the Zetia because of severe muscle pains I've been having. While the pain has eased up some, I still have pain. My question is, how long does Zetia stay in one's system? Should I have felt much better after 3 weeks or does it take longer?

I am as puzzled as you.  I would think that the effects of the Zetia would have worn off by now.   Have you discussed with your physician the fact that your pains have continued?

Please speak with your physician.  Perhaps, you have something else going on.
