Gout Symptoms: Causes, Diagnosis, and Treatment

my husband is in terrible pain with his toe and now feels it is spreading to his ankle.  His toe looks inflammed and he can hardly walk on it.  It has been like this for a few days and he has not banged it or anything, the pain and inflammation just came on over night.  He has had this before several years ago and he thinks it might be gout.  What do you think and if so what is the cure?

That is exactly what it sounds like and he needs to take medication...so he needs to get to a doctor or clinic for a prescription.  It is very painful and it needs attention.

There is medication that is specifically for gout but it is prescription and must b prescribed my a dr.
