QuestionThanks for the quick reply.
My husband is 40.
He says the pain is under his right shoulder blade.
He says it is a burning sensation.
I thought it might be shingles but in a web search it said that there would be a rash present. However, there is no rash or redness.
Thanks again,
Margie

-----Question-----
For the last couple of days my husband is complaining of pain and burning sensation on his shoulder.
I don't see a rash or anything out of the ordinary.
Do you have any idea what this could be?
I appreciate your help with this.
Thank you,
Margie

Hi Margie,
I need to know his age, just where on his shoulder, which shoulder and whether or not it is constant or intermittant. Thanks in advance
AnswerHi Margie,
Thanks very much for the additional info.
Based on this, shingles is still a possibility as rash doesn't always show up right away or rarely, at all. Burning pain is usually indicative of nerve pain. This could also be a neuralgia from a local problem with his shoulder girdle.
Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of examining him so these are best guesses. I'd see a healthcare provider if this doesn't clear up.
