QuestionMy husband was told that he had a protein level of 1200 after a 24-hour urine test. Three months before that
his protein level in the urine was 300. How serious is
this? What causes the problem and such a major increase in protein over the short period of time? He will be retested in three months. The doctor said that he might have to have a biopsy of the kidney. He has high blood pressure which is being controlled by medication.
Are there changes he can make in his diet or lifestyle to improve his condition?
