Shadowing an Emergency Medicine Doctor: Is Age a Barrier?

Question
I'm fifteen and I'm interested in Emergency Medicine. I currently volunteer at a hospital; however, we don't really get to see much of a doctor's job, mainly just discharges and running errands. I'm thinking about shadowing a doctor at the hospital I volunteer at, but I don't know if I'm probably too young to do that right now. Should I wait a few years, or is it fine to do it now? If now isn't too early, how would I go about getting in contact with an EM doctor to shadow? Just being volunteers, we don't really come in contact with doctors that often, especially ER doctors. I'm really excited about medicine and want to get involved with it as soon as possible. Thanks for reading!

Answer
you can do it now if the hospital allows it.... there are privacy issues but volunteering always worked for me... you have to do some of the errand work but sometimes can work with the doc... help them out, etc. You can always ask.... worst case... they say no.  Good luck with it....
