Spotting After Logynon: Understanding & Addressing Post-Pill Bleeding

I'm on logynon. been on it for about 6months.. i finished my last packet 9 days ago but i didn't take my 7 day break and carried on to the next packet (i did this cause i didn't want a period) but i am now spotting. i have a brownish colored discharge which I'm guessing is a bit of dried blood in it.. why is this happening and how can i stop it? is this normal? any help would be grateful?

I'm not a medical professional so please call your doctor and see if you can get an appointment. You should always take your pills according to directions. This is probably a side effect and I'm not sure you can stop it if you keep taking the pills. There are a lot of side effects to the pills and I'm not sure if you have experienced any other ones. Do you really need to be on birth control at all or could you consider Natural Family planning or abstinence? Hope to hear from you soon.
