Understanding Left Arm Pain: Causes & Relief
QuestionI hoping you can help me with this. About 8 weeks ago I started getting a pain in my left arm. Its on the inside and only if I apply pressure, like rubbing my hand on it or lay on it. I can also feel it when I straighten my arm out tight. It starts in the middle of my forearm to right about wear my elbow bends. It almost seems like it hurts where you can see my vein. Now 6 weeks ago I was in the hospital(had a baby, nothing to do with my arm). I told them about my arm and they blew it off. But they took blood out my arm. Only took blood, I had my iv in my right. I didn't hurt and they were really gentle. But with 15 mins of them taking the blood my arm began hurting really bad about 2 inches above where they took the blood. Just about where that pain was before I went in. The next day I had a huge bruise not only where they poked me but up about 4 to 5 inches. The pain went away or atleast I haven't noticed it until about a week ago. What could it be? Sorry if you don't understand but thats how I can explain it. There is no marks or rash on my arm. I can still move it. I can't feel any lumps. And it doesn't feel warm. If you can in any way, please help me. I really don't want to go to my family doc unless its necessary. Thank you.
Answerthe blood drawing caused a bruise, but obviously the pain was there before that.
I would wonder about blood clots since you had recently become pregnant which may put you at a higher risk for clots.
I would see your doctor and discuss it with them......
