Endometriomas & Chocolate Cysts: Treatment Options & Management

Question
Hello,
I have been diagnosed with endo for many years and suffer very much. In the last 2.5 years I have had 4 laprascopies and 1 laparotamy due to endometriomas or chocolate cysts. Whilst having the ops, I also get the endo burned off too. However, the cysts seem to grow on both ovaries and every 6 months! I have been on hormone therapy of Duphaston in the past, but it didn't help. Now my doc suggested GNRH for 6 months, but I have read that although they help with endo, they don't help with the cysts. What do you suggest I should do next, apart from getting a second opinion to stop these growths?
Thank you!

Answer
Dear Rennie

I am not familiaar with GNRH? However, I would definitely go to another doctor, specifically an endo/fertility specialist. I go to a gyno that is considered a "high risk" doctor...and he does specialize in that field.
I've never heard of cycts being so consistently active over and over again? Also, apart from a radical hyst., your options may be limited.
I am sorry if I haven't helped you much. I would also go on to the Endo Research Center website and ask them and thay may also be able to advise you with a local specialist.
Good luck to you...take care of yourself.
