Pregnancy While Breastfeeding: Can It Happen?

please tell me can a women be pregnant while giving breast feed to 8 month baby? i had 2 ceserians , last in jan2008,now i had first periods in august,so can be preganat still my baby is on mother feed?

Most definitely you can get pregnant while breastfeeding! Your doctor should have instructed you to start using birth control after you had your baby. Women are quite fertile after giving birth. If you just had your first period in August, your body may still be adjusting. You should take a pregnancy test to make sure you aren't pregnant and then use some sort of birth control if you don't want to get pregnant now. Congratulations on your baby. Good luck!!
