Question -
What if your taking Birthconrtol (Ortha Evra) and your pregnant but dont know it, will it hurt the baby?
Answer -
Just as birth control is not good for your body, it isn't going to be good for the baby's body either. The range of risk is from 0-100% just like for you.  No one knows how much the risk will be for any one person or baby.  As soon as you know you are pregnant (take a pregnancy test) you stop taking the pill and that should be better for the baby.

Answer
Birth defects are very rare and there is no serious birth defect connected to the use of birth control after becoming pregnant.  You do not need to worry about your baby except to stop taking the pill ASAP just because that is always recommended to pregnant women in order to give the baby the best possible evironment for development.

There are very few drugs that are a serious problem for pregnant women, but most doctors still avoid any drugs for pregnant women just to be sure and safe and prevent problems.  No brain damage, no deformity.
