Cysts After Mastectomy: What to Know & What to Expect

Question
my mother had a mastectomy last February.  She is thin and did not have much skin - so it is pulled taut.  Today, she went to the doctor because she has two blisters on her upper arm-near shoulder.  Her arm is itchy as well.  The doctor prescribed hydrocortozone and said she had cysts.  Are cysts a precursor to cancer?  Is she getting it back?

Answer
I doubt that these cysts have anything to do with cancer. So at least at present I do not think she is getting it back, but since I have not examined her myself I can not give you any more details. I strongly suggest that you discuss this directly with her dr.
