Post-Abortion Period Irregularities: Pregnancy Risk & Emergency Contraception

i had surgical abortion on 18th sept 2007.later had sex on 14th oct,n took emergency pill nxt day.on 16th and 21st oct v had sex using condoms.but till today i didnt get my period.i m worrying a lot.is there chance to be pregnant agn?do emergency pill work?when can i test agn my chance of pregn?please help

Dear Nair,
There is a chance of getting pregnant.  The best thing would be to check a pregnancy test.  Buy the test with two kits. Take one today.  If it is positive, it could be from the last pregnancy.  Take it again in one week.  If the line is lighter or negative there is nothing to worry about.  If it is more positive, then you should get checked.  By then, you may have gotten your period.
