QuestionI've had two abortions already and the last one i had was on June 1, 2010. After the abortion i bled for like 9 days and then it stopped and started back up like my normal period after two days. Now i can feel that its time for my period and i did start but i bled for two days and then it stopped. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative, but my breasts have become sore and swollen what could this possibly mean?
AnswerHello, Amitra,
I assume that you had a pill abortion, since you bled for so long. Correct me if I think incorrectly.
Abortion disrupts a woman's hormones. As a result, nobody can predict how a woman will react. It is possible you have been fertile by now. If the test is negative, then it's possible the sore breasts are from another cause. You should test for pregnancy again in about a week, however.
If you are pregnant again, please do not have another abortion. Abortion damages a woman's body, and the more abortions she has, the more damage is done. Abortion can kill you, render you seriously disabled, and harm your future children. It also makes a woman much more likely to get breast cancer while she is still young, and this kills about 1/4 of its victims.
There are better answers. You can find organizations that will help you with the problems you face. To find one near you, please go to this web site:

If you don't want another abortion, don't have sex. If you are married, learn to tell when you are fertile. Protection doesn't work. Please take care of yourself and stop taking these kinds of chances with your life. Let me know how you do.
