Abortion and Future Fertility: Understanding Potential Effects

Question
Thank you. How about miscarages, are they a possibility? Maybe i should elaborate. During the abortion process, is the cervix or uterus at all damaged, even after several procedures?

Question -
I'm 27, two children, last menstrual period: 11/13/05. My question is: I've had 4 abortions in the past and was wondering if that would affect future fertility.
Answer -
As long as you are getting a period each month, you are most probably ovulating. As long as you are ovulating, you shoould have no problem with future fertility, even if you have had several abortions in the past.

Answer
Sometimes, after a D&C for an abortion, the cervix can, indeed, become scarred and "stenotic". HOwever, if you do become pregnant, there is no higher risk for miscarriage than if you never had an abortion. If the embryo implants in the uterus, it does not matter if you had a previous abortion (or several).
