QuestionHi Pat,
I am Shreya. I got to know that i was pregnant of nearly 7 weeks in August 2008.I went to a hospital and the docter gave me some pills for 2 or 3 days and after that they gave me an injection. There was heavy bleeding then for 5 days. Later i went for a check up. She said everything is clear after taking an ultrascan. From beginning my periods are little irregular sometimes. Now I'll be getting married to another guy in few months. I am scared that this would effect me in future when i get pregnant or will my husband gets to know through docter or something like that.
What can be the problems i may face when i get pregnant or will there be a problem in getting pregnancy ... Please Help me out. What can i do to get proper pregnancy and have a healthy baby with letting my past effecting my future and my relationship with my husband. I am in U.S. now. Kindly help me out regarding this. Cos i completely want to forget my past and have a happy life ahead.
AnswerHi, shreya,
If you need to talk about your experience so your heart can rest, let me know.
In the United States, it is against medical ethics for the doctor to tell your husband anything without your permission. You will need to tell him about it, though, so that he can provide any necessary treatment to safeguard both you and the baby. Be sure and tell him to keep it confidential, just as a reminder. The medical methods haven't been in use for long enough for people to know exactly what the long term consequences are, but it's possible by the time you are pregnant with a child in the future, more will be known. You should go to a crisis pregnancy agency in your area and get a recommendation for a doctor you can see. I can't tell you anything over the internet, and neither can anyone else. You can find an agency in your area by going here:

Try to eat in a healthy way. This will help your body heal from possible damage. There is no guarantee, because abortion IS dangerous and damages a woman's body. But it seems to me that is the best chance you have. I hope for all the best for you.
