Can Past Abortions Be Detected? What to Expect During a Gynecological Exam

I had an abortion 5 years ago and i didn't have any implications. But my current boyfriend wants to find out if i had past abortion (actually i told him i didn't have any abortion). He wants to bring me to gynecologist to have some tests to find out. So is there a procedure or test to find out whether i had any abortion in the past? If so, do you know how it is? and is there a chance that gynecologist can't find out the i had abortion in the past?

I'm not a medical professional so I urge you to check with your present doctor if you have one. I don't know of any tests that you could take to find out about abortion in the past. Why is your boyfriend interested in this and why do you not want to tell him? Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and give me more information so I can advise you. I just found an article where it says that a doctor would not be able to tell if you've had an abortion unless there is a rare case of extreme scarring. However, it says in this article that you should try to reveal this to your doctor as it may have future implications on your health and emotional well-being. Hope this helps.
